IT IS FRIGHTENING, BUT ALSO EXCITING, THAT WHEN WE TAKE A SHORT VACATION, THE PERSON STANDING IN FOR US DOES A DRAMATICALLY BETTER JOB THAN WE DO (and is actually enthusiastic while performing it).

All of us need to, eventually, have a competent successor.
We all need to be able to take a vacation and not have everything collapse or pile up, waiting for our return.
This is a reminder for us to keep learning, and improving.
We should always be considering moving up or out, before we are told to improve, or are left behind, or we are let go.
