Imperfections = Opportunities Date December 24, 2024 In relation to Similar post SO MANY PEOPLE WITH PROCRASTINATION HAVE A SIGNIFICANT STREAK OF PERFECTIONISM (not for most of the actions in their lives, but just for a few of them). THE ABILITY TO RECOGNIZE THIS AND TO ASK FOR, AND TO ACCEPT HELP ARE THE FIRST STEPS TO IMPROVING THEIR SITUATIONS. NEXT IS TO FORGIVE THEMSELVES FOR THEIR IMPERFECTIONS, WHILE STILL BEING ABLE TO START AND WORK ON A PROJECTS WITHOUT ALL THE TOOLS, KNOWLEDGE, GAME PLANS, OR HELP BEING IN PLACE FROM THE START. Date June 14, 2022 In relation to perfection We have a dramatically better understanding of SARS-COV-2 than we did 2 years ago, but our ICUs, emergency rooms and hospitals are too full, and people are still dying. People are becoming patients, not because the (imperfect) vaccines are harmful, but DESPITE the vaccines being dramatically helpful. Yes, we need even better science with respect to understanding these viral mutations. Yes, we need vaccines which help for longer, and anticipate mutations. Yes, we need inexpensive and accessible (tested, safe, and effective) oral, treatments even if we are early in our infection, or have mild infection symptoms (medicines to prevent spread to those who are vulnerable). In the meantime, vaccinations and masking, not just for our own safety, but for the safety of others. Regardless of our choices, we can still do the best for ourselves, without shaming, embarrassing, or threatening those people who disagree with us. Date January 26, 2022 In relation to covid
