By the way, all of us have grown up with a certain level of rigidity, of structure, of expectations that have helped us judge ourselves, others, and the world around us.
What I have found is that, often, what we already have in our heads is partly true, but sometimes the exact opposite (as well as many different variations) can also be true, or can work out well enough, if not better than, what we have believed.
This applies to everything from religion, to politics, to child rearing, to making money, to insights about ourselves and others.
Peace.
