YOU ARE STILL HERE

Despite your difficult upbringing

Despite your difficult relationships

Despite the big and small traumas

Despite difficulties with mental health and physical health

Despite financial problems

Despite work issues

Despite not doing the right things

Take a bow, survivor!

OFTEN, IT IS MORE SATISFYING TO MENTALLY TRANSPORT YOURSELF ELSEWHERE THAN TO BE PRESENT

The learned ability to transport from being present to being elsewhere may be important for philosophers, artists, gamers, writers, contrarians, dreamers, spiritualists, creators and general malcontents.

YOUR FORMAL EDUCATION MAY BE HOLDING YOU BACK

From trying other jobs

From trying other careers

From not using your degree

From accepting less income

From accepting less status

From moving geographically

From taking a sabbatical or extended leave

From seeing yourself differently

RHETORIC

Rhetoric is the art and practice of constructing and delivering persuasive oral arguments.

Rhetoric was founded in ancient Greece, 2600 years ago.

Rhetoric uses logic and emotion to help deliver cogent, persuasive arguments.

Rhetoric does NOT automatically make the orator correct or give the orator superior knowledge.

Rhetoric is a way to organize and help deliver thoughts, information and knowledge as part of a viewpoint.

Rhetoric can be learned, practiced and refined.

Rhetoric may not convince or persuade, but it should not drive people away.

Rhetoric should stimulate people to think.
