So, how does one dealership or one store differentiate its products from the exact same products carried by other dealerships and stores? How does one select where to buy these identical products?
Price ( which includes: discounts, rebates, closeouts, floor models, open box, damaged, wholesaled, coupons, and special offers)
Selection of options (yes, my example stated the same options for both choices)
Selection of payment options/payment plans
Availability (on the store shelf, or online)
Proximity of the store or dealership to your home or work
Store hours (advantage goes to online stores open 24/7/365)
Service at the time of sale and service after the sale
Relationships related to the sale as well as relationships outside of the sale
Opportunity to buy other, complimentary or related items
Delivery/Shipping (speed, carefulness, weekends, holidays)
Returns (ease of) and refund policies
