For years, Saint Louis had the Globe Democrat, Post-Dispatch, Beacon (online) and other newspapers. All of these sources of news have/had different politics and different points of view. News outlets have always had a point of view (and not just expressed in their editorial columns). This makes for a lot of work for the rest of us if we do not want to rely on the story angle, or the data, facts, and statistics from one, “authoritative”, source.
