SOME PEOPLE LEARN LIFE’S LESSONS BY READING, WATCHING, LISTENING, AND SPEAKING WITH OTHERS. OTHER PEOPLE LEARN THEIR LIFE LESSONS BY DOING AND EXPERIENCING (often, requiring repeated exposures). OUR PARENTS HOPE THAT THE FORMER IS ENOUGH FOR US, BUT MANY OF US SEEM TO RESPOND ONLY TO THE LATTER.
