The Most Intolerant Wins: The Dictatorship of the Small Minority https://nassimtaleb.org/tag/minority-rule/
Unlike a democracy, where people vote, it does not take a majority or supermajority to legally make a change…changing the conversation or changing someone’s mind has much lower requirements.

Hello Dr. Chuck! Keep up your posts. I look forward to them and always read them. This post about Taleb made me get back into him. He’s brilliant. I’m reading Antifragile and Skin in the Game. Plus there are many YouTube videos on/with him. There are YouTube channels to learn anything—college level courses. Much more digestable knowledge for me. I found a old book at my mom’s, “The Laws of Japanese Painting,” with black and white illustrations. On YouTube I can find a variety of videos on the subject in full color the size of my large monitor, the narrator pronouncing Japanese names correctly, I assume. Plus I can play the video at a higher speed if I like and get to watch another one, falling down the rabbit hole of information. Just wanted to say hello.
Hi Ken!
Love Nassim. He has profound understandings of what seem to be basic concepts. His statistical insights really make us question what most of us would think should be “obvious” results.
His arcane references make it hard for me to rapidly understand his powerful messages. It takes my re-reading and watching others interview him in order for me to understand.
And yes, there are thousands of hours of exceptional teaching out there.
Happy Father’s Day, soon.
Charles
