SO MANY PEOPLE WITH PROCRASTINATION HAVE A SIGNIFICANT STREAK OF PERFECTIONISM (not for most of the actions in their lives, but just for a few of them). THE ABILITY TO RECOGNIZE THIS AND TO ASK FOR, AND TO ACCEPT HELP ARE THE FIRST STEPS TO IMPROVING THEIR SITUATIONS. NEXT IS TO FORGIVE THEMSELVES FOR THEIR IMPERFECTIONS, WHILE STILL BEING ABLE TO START AND WORK ON A PROJECTS WITHOUT ALL THE TOOLS, KNOWLEDGE, GAME PLANS, OR HELP BEING IN PLACE FROM THE START.

This is how we learn, and iterate (repeat efforts after small changes are made due to lessons learned).

Making educated mistakes, learning, and repeating one’s efforts, in better directions with better information, is key to getting started, and eventually, reaching one’s goals.

THE MOST IMPORTANT ASPECT IS TO ACCEPT THE SHAME, EMBARRASSMENT, AND GUILT…and to still be able to act while releasing these unpleasant thoughts and feelings.
