THE SMALLEST PROJECTS OR TASKS WILL TAKE AN EVER INCREASING AMOUNT OF TIME, BOTH MENTALLY AND IN REALITY, DUE TO OUR: PERFECTIONISM, ANXIETIES, FEAR OF MAKING MISTAKES, AND DUE TO OUR DISTRACTIBLITIES.

SOMETIMES THE DRIVE TO WORK ON HARD PROBLEMS, AND TO TRY AND ACCOMPLISH DIFFICULT TASKS, IS NOT SO MUCH FOR THE GLORY, OR FOR THE ACCOMPLISHMENT, BUT BECAUSE THE FOCUS NEEDED IS A DISTRACTION FROM OUR TUMULTUOUS PASTS AND A MOMENT OF SOLACE FROM OUR INNER TURMOILS.

TOO MANY OF US WALK THROUGH OUR LIVES SO DISTRACTED AND EXHAUSTED THAT WE THINK THAT WE ARE TOO BUSY, WE SAY THAT WE ARE TOO BUSY, AND WE APPEAR TOO BUSY. WHAT IS ACTUALLY HAPPENING IS THAT OUR BRAINS ARE PEDDLING FAST (procrastination, regrets, worries, anxieties, shame, fear, anger, grudges) BUT WE/OUR LIVES ARE NOT MOVING. WE ARE PERPETUALLY EXHAUSTED, AND STUCK…NOT NOTICING THE PATTERNS OF OUR LIVES, THE OPPORTUNITIES IN OUR LIVES, AND THE LOVED ONES WITHIN OUR IN LIVES.

CHECK OURSELVES…IF WE HAVE A HARD TIME SITTING STILL IN ORDER TO HAVE FOCUSED ATTENTION FOR 30 MINUTES, WITHOUT MUSIC OR BACKGROUND SCREENS RUNNING, THEN WE NEED TO TAKE A SERIOUS LOOK AT WHAT IS HAPPENING IN OUR LIVES AND IN OUR MINDS.
